Abstract

The authers have experienced a case of generalized primary amyloidosis associated
with rhematoid arthritis. She has suffered from rheumatoid arthritis since about 30 years
old. She was admitted because of dyspnea, joint pain and swelling, low voltage EKG
and characteristic positive staining amyloid materials by rectal and skin biopsies. Cardiac
amyloidosis was suggested by typical EKG and echocardiographic findings.
She progressively aggravated and discharged hopelessly.
